First Stop: Riding the Pune Metro
We started our evening by heading down to the local metro station. Taking the Pune Metro is always a great way to get around the city smoothly without getting stuck in peak evening traffic. The stations are impressively clean, brightly lit, and super easy to navigate even if you are visiting for the very first time.

While hanging out on the platform waiting for our train to pull in, we snapped a few fun group photos to document the trip. The trains arrived right on schedule, and the overall ride was remarkably smooth and hassle-free. It made for a stress-free start to our night out before we stepped off and headed towards the bustling dining hub of Viman Nagar.
Metro Rules & Passenger Guidelines to Keep in Mind
Before boarding, we noticed the detailed official guideline signage posted near the station entry point. If you are planning your own ride on the transit system, here are a few key safety and baggage rules enforced by the authorities:
- Prohibited Items: Flammables, hazardous chemicals, sharp weapons, and explosive items are strictly banned anywhere inside station premises or train cars.
- Baggage Limits: Passengers are permitted to carry up to 25 kg of personal luggage per person (with maximum dimensions capped at 80x50x30 cm).
- General Conduct: Eating inside train cars, smoking, bringing pets onboard, or causing public disruptions can result in immediate fines under local transit bylaws.

Dinner Time: Exploring the Menu at Chang's Legacy
By the time we wrapped up our metro trip and walked over to the restaurant, our appetites were fully awake and ready. We made our way to Chang's Legacy, a local spot known throughout the area for its vibrant Indo-Chinese and pan-Asian lineup. The exterior had a warm, inviting glow from their bright yellow neon sign, making it feel welcoming the moment we pulled up to the entrance.

Once we were escorted inside and seated at our table, we decided to go all out. Rather than ordering individual meals, we picked a broad variety of appetizers and main dishes to share family-style across the entire group.

What We Ordered & Flavor Highlights
Indo-Chinese cuisine is famous for its bold balance of spicy, savory, garlic-infused, and tangy sauces. Every dish brought out to our table delivered on that promise:
- Chicken Cigar Rolls: Golden, extra-crispy rolls served hot with a light drizzle of mayo and sprinkled with fresh green onions and sesame seeds. The crunch when biting into these was incredible.
- Jhol Momo Chicken: Tender, juicy chicken dumplings served floating in a rich, warm, deeply spiced soup broth. An absolute must-try for comfort food lovers.
- Chilly Garlic Hakka Noodle Chicken: Perfectly cooked noodles tossed with fresh vegetables and sliced chicken, packed with rich garlic aroma and just the right touch of chili heat.
- Singapore Rice Chicken & Peking Chicken: Flavorful seasoned rice paired alongside tender chicken pieces coated in a rich, dark savory sauce that tied the whole feast together.
