I am a Nigerian who previously lived and worked in the UAE for a few years, doing customer service and various other jobs. Life took a beautiful turn when I met my Indian wife; we got married in Abu Dhabi, and today, I am living here in India!

Being a Nigerian married into an Indian family, I’ve fallen completely in love with the vibrant traditions here! Joining my family to prepare for major cultural events has given me a brand new perspective on celebration, faith, and unity.
The Unique Tradition of Choosing Your Own Deity
Before the main festival officially begins, millions of people flood the local streets and night markets across Maharashtra to handpick their own Lord Ganesha (Ganpati Bappa) idol.
