Stepping Into Mexico Below a Shopping Mall?
During a recent evening outing, my wife and I were looking for a quick bite and noticed California Burrito, located right below the Lifestyle store.
The moment we walked down the steps and pushed open the door, the atmosphere instantly hit us. They were blasting vibrant Spanish music in the background, and the upbeat energy made us feel like we had been transported straight out of India and right into the heart of Mexico! ๐
The Ordering Line: How It Works

If you haven't been before, the setup works on an interactive, build-your-own assembly line:
- Pick Your Base: Burritos, Tacos, Rice Bowls, Salads, Quesadillas, or Nachos.
- Choose Your Filling: Options range from Chipotle Chicken and BBQ Chicken to Peri Peri Paneer and Veggies.
- Customize Toppings: Stack it high with rice, beans, fresh pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, and salsas.
What We Ordered (And Why One Item Almost Defeated Us!)

We decided to sample a few different items from the menu, and things got intense fast:
1. The Hot Habanero Burrito ๐ถ️๐ฅ
We decided to try their Hot Habanero Burrito, and let me tell you it was packed with incredible flavor, but it was literally on fire!
The heat level is intense. The spice sneaks up on you, and by the third bite, your tastebuds are wide awake. It was absolutely delicious, but consider this your official warning: If you cannot handle extreme spice, do not order this!
2. Crispy Chicken Popcorn ๐
To go with our meals, we ordered a side box of Chicken Popcorn. They were served golden-brown, super crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfect for dipping between spicy burrito bites.
3. Peach Drinks (The Ultimate Life-Saver) ๐
To put out the habanero fire in our mouths, we grabbed their Peach Drink. Cold, sweet, and fruity, it balanced out the heavy spices perfectly. Plus, they offer an unlimited refill station, which we definitely put to good use!
The Verdict: Was It Worth It?

Here is my honest breakdown:
- Food & Heat Level: 4.5 / 5 (Delicious, but proceed with caution on the Habanero!)
